Get Up to Speed with DuroMatch

DuroMatch organizes local competition around recurring league weeks. Here is what a typical league experience looks like from joining through completing a match.

1

Find and Join a League

Begin by browsing leagues for your sport and location. Each league page explains its format, participation requirements, ladder standings, and other important information.

Individual leagues place you directly on the ladder. Team leagues organize participation through a team roster and captain.

New individual-league entrants begin with Super Challenger powers.

Super Challenger Mode gives a new entrant an opportunity to advance more quickly by repeatedly challenging the highest-ranked available opponent and winning. Once the mode is lost, it cannot be recovered.

A complete explanation of Super Challenger Mode will be available in the DuroMatch documentation.

2

Issue or Receive a Challenge

During the weekly challenge window, eligible entrants may challenge higher-ranked opponents within their allowed challenge range.

An opponent may be unavailable because of declared unavailability, winner immunity, an existing weekly commitment, team eligibility requirements, or another participation rule. DuroMatch explains unavailable actions directly on the league page whenever possible.

You may have more than one outgoing challenge pending, but once one is accepted, the remaining outgoing challenges are canceled automatically.

3

Accept and Arrange the Match

When a challenge is accepted, both entrants become committed to that match for the competition week. Other conflicting challenges are no longer available.

Use DuroMatch messaging to communicate with your opponent and agree on a time and place. In team leagues, captains normally handle communication and match coordination.

Messages can be accessed through the navigation bar at the top of every page.

Players should make a reasonable effort to arrange and complete the match within the league’s weekly schedule.

4

Play and Report the Result

After the match, one entrant reports the result through DuroMatch. The opposing entrant reviews the report and either confirms it or contests it.

A confirmed result becomes part of the league record. When a result is contested, the dispute process allows the matter to be reviewed under the league’s administrative structure.

Monday is generally reserved for confirmations, unresolved reports, and dispute review before the next competition cycle begins.

Your matches can be accessed through the Dashboard, which is available from the navigation bar at the top of every page.

5

See the Rankings Update

League rankings reflect completed competition under the league’s ladder rules. Playing regularly, accepting valid challenges, and winning upward challenges all affect your progress and future opportunities.

Winners receive protection from being challenged during the following competition week. Players who repeatedly decline participation without declaring unavailability may temporarily lose the ability to challenge upward.

Additional DuroMatch Features

These features support your league participation but are not necessarily part of every competition week.

Team Leagues

Team leagues follow the same challenge, scheduling, reporting, and ranking principles as individual leagues, but the team participates as the ladder entrant.

Team captains issue and accept challenges, coordinate matches, and communicate with opposing captains. Team members can communicate with one another through DuroMatch messaging.

A captain's personal unavailability does not excuse the team from its participation responsibilities. A captain who will be unavailable is responsible for arranging temporary captain coverage.

Availability

Individual-league entrants may declare up to two unavailable weeks per calendar month in each league. Unavailability must be declared before the competition week begins.

Declared unavailability prevents challenges for that league and week. It also pauses an active Super Challenger run rather than ending it.

Availability can be managed through My Challenges, which is accessible through the Dashboard.

Your Dashboard

The Dashboard brings together your leagues, challenges, matches, tournament invitations, administrative roles, and other account activity.

It can be accessed through the navigation bar at the top of every page.

Messages

DuroMatch messaging allows players and team captains to coordinate matches and communicate within the platform.

Messages can be accessed through the navigation bar at the top of every page.

Tournaments

DuroMatch supports organized tournaments filled from eligible league communities through invitations and the tournament’s participation requirements.

Events may use single elimination, round-robin, or round-robin followed by a knockout stage.

Community Resources

DuroMatch strives to provide relevant and useful resources from local businesses and organizations that support our Mission and Values .

Community Resources are available when you choose to explore them. DuroMatch does not interrupt your experience with intrusive advertising or unsolicited promotions.
